AT this meeting the KinkorE‘Dairying Association, drafted a petition to the Dominion “overnment asking it not to withdraw financial support from the P.E.I. dairy industry. On April 26, 1895 the Examiner carried the report that the directors of the Kinkora Dairying Association "had received a favorable answer to their petition from the Dominion Government, and have let the contract for building of their cheese factory to Mr. Bernard McCourt of South Freetown, (at a price of 3700). It seems that this was not built until 1901.
