See early French map. P.A.P.E.I.
These people came from Lot 57 to East Point. They gave the name, Pinette, to their earlier settlement, a place name which remains to this day.
Douville's shipwreck companion, Charles le Charpentier, was not there in this cen- sus but a Marie Joseph Charpentier born at St. Peter’s Harbour in 1724 was possi- bly his daughter. She, with her husband Simon Billard, lived on the Charles River which could have been named for her father and is likely the present day Morel] River.
