The Rev. Andrew Stewart Weir, D.D. 1959-1961 The Rev. Weir D.D . was born in Greenwood, N.S. in 1881, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Weir . He was educated at Dalhousie University, and the Presbyterian College, Halifax, graduating in 1908. He was ordained on July 16, 1908 by the Presbytery of Pictou and served in Nova Scotia , Manitoba , Quebec and at Alberton , Orwell, Vernon, Pownal and Cornwall on the Island before retiring in 1955, when Pine Hill Divinity College conferred on him the honorary degree of Doctor of Divinity. He served as Presbytery Supply here from 1959-1961. He died at Pownal in 1964 leaving one son, Stuart. The Rev. Robert Henry (Harry) Baxter 1962-1967 The Rev. R.H. Baxter was born on January 28, 1892 at Westfield, N.B. , the son of James and Mary (Fowler) Baxter. He was educated at Carter's Point, N.B. from 1897 to 1906, and at Academy until 1916. His studies at Mount Allison University (1917-18 and 1919-22) were interrupted by services with the Armed Forces in World War I. He graduated from the University in 1922 with a B.A . degree and in 1924 with a degree in Theology. He was ordained at Saint John , N .B. in 1923. He had a long and varied record of service in the provinces of Quebec , New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island . His last charge was Waweig, N.B. from 1956-1962. He retired in 1962, and served as Presbytery Supply for the York- Pastoral Charge from that year until 1967. He now lives in Charlottetown . He is married to the former Vida C. MacCallum , of Falmouth, N.S. and they have three children: R.M. Baxter ( Bob ), J.E. Baxter ( Ted ) and D.M. Baxter (Dorothy) now Mrs. Ian MacLeod . The Rev. Francis Walter Lacey 1967-1969 The Rev. Frank Lacey was born in Exploits, Newfoundland , and was educated at Mount Allison University ( B.A ., 1942) and Divinity Hall ??? Certificate in Theology, 1942. He was ordained at Sackville, N.B. on June 7, 1942. He served at Brooklyn , Hants Co., N.S ., from 1942-48; at Chipman , N.B. from 1955-1963; at York United Church, P.E.I , from 1963-1969 and at Stanhope from 1967 when the York- Pastoral Charge was formed, until 1969. He served as Presbytery Chairman and Rural Life Committee Chairman, and was also active in church work with Boys' Camps. He is married to the former Frances Jean Arnold , of Kingsport, N.S. , and they had four children: Margaret (deceased), Ruth, Lawrence and James. The Rev. J. Fraser MacDonald 1969-1976 The Rev. Fraser MacDonald was born in Sydney , N.S. on October 30, 1931, the son of John A. and Annie (Gordon) MacDonald. He was 82
