Tawny owls. The Brownies are for girls 6-9 years of age now. Jenna MacDonald still teaches the girls to crochet.
Other leaders have been Susan Labelle (Mrs. Bernard), Lynda Fitzgerald (Mrs. G.L.) and Mrs. Mary Katherine Huggins.
Girl Guides
The hit North Shore Girl Guide Company was formed in the fall of 1976 for girls 10-14 years of age. The leaders were Ann Watts (Mrs. Richard), Sandra Ellis (Mrs. Donald), Jeannie MacCann (Mrs. Fred), Patricia and Kathryn Quick.
In the fall of 1983 the Girl Guides were led by Roma Birt (Mrs. Lorne), Clarice Webster (Mrs. Alvin) and Pauline Moase (Mrs. Leigh). The Guides are now for girls 9-12 years of age.
Other leaders have been Gail Metcalfe (Mrs. Barry) and Janice Shaw (Mrs. Geoffrey “J ake”).
In 1983 the enrollment was 17; the Guides meet in the Stanhope- 151
