After the death of her husband Robert (between 1821 and 1825)
the above Mary Lawson Bovyer married William Stead of Mill Cove on 26 January, 1825. We can find no record of William and Mary living in Stanhope, but Mary is buried in the old Methodist cemetery on the Stanhope East Road. They had four children; see the Stead family history.

Samuel, b.1820, d. 21 Sept., 1859, m. 23 May, 1848 by Rev. James Allan to his cousin Joanna Bovyer, dau. of William and Margaret (Kelly) Bovyer of Stanhope. They lived in Boston, Mass. ? family.
