GALLANT Joseph Azade Gallant came to Stanhope from Oyster Bed Bridge in 1960, the son of Jerry Gallant of that place. He lived in a trailer at Covehead Harbour , later on the Stanhope , and worked as a fisherman's helper. He died in May, 1984 aged 57.
