all her life in Stanhope , and died at the home of her brother, David of . Margaret was a well respected person who always tried to help those in need and... attached to the religious principles imbibed in her youth (from the Examiner, 30 December, 1867). The fifth child and first son, James, was known as " Jimmy Teapot ", because there was always a pot of tea on the stove. He was the lad, we are told, who was known as the " Ghost", dressing himself in white to visit the " Corner " and the cemetery, fairly scaring to death young and old alike until his identity was eventually revealed by one of the Mac - Millans on his way home to the Point. James and his wife Ann lived on the property where Mervyn Robison now lives, and which was later owned by their son David, nicknamed "Blind Davey". Jimmy Teapot and his wife Ann had a daughter Ann, married to Alex Beattie , as well as six other children. It is possible that John Lawson , born in 1835, was a son; he lived with Henry Curtis . Matilda, born in 1839, may have been a daughter; she lived with the Ed Buxton family. James and Elizabeth's son John, who married Isabella Higgins , moved to, and died in, Colorado .... This family lived in Covehead , then went to , Mass. , then to Colorado and engaged extensively in sheep raising. He was a successful member of that State and greatly and deservedly respected.
