In 1813-14 he married Janet or Jennet McGregor (b. 4 Apr., 1792, d. 1 Oct., 1864), daughter of John and Margaret (Gregor) McGregor of Black River, Lot 33; they had three sons, Edward, Theophilus and Daniel. Duncan was a member of the Assembly in 1784 and 1805 and died at Campbellton on March 15,
