O’BRIEN, BRIEN or BRYANT

Jeremiah Bryant or O’Brien of Newfoundland (b. 1846) and his wife Ann Higgins (b. 1841, daughter of Peter Higgins and his wife Christianne Lawson of Cove Head) lived at the Point near Angus MacMillan. Jeremiah was a farmer; in 1880 they had a small acreage between the properties of Angus MacMillan and John and James Higgins. Ann O’Brien is buried in the Stanhope East Road cemetery.
