He was probably the John McEachern in Lot 38 in 1798 with a wife and 2 s., 3 dau. 3. Helen, b. 1777, d. at Head of St. Peter 's Bay 24 Jan., 1871 aet. 93, m. 1798 to David Anderson Jr. (b. 1769 or 70, Scottish Lowlands, d. ROBISON Joseph Francis Robison (b. 5 Oct., 1888 at Tracadie ) was the son of James Robison of Tracadie and his wife Bridgit O' Neal of Millcove (d. 30 Aug., 1906). Joseph lived in the house opposite , Grand Tracadie , now in the . In 1907 his father James sold the house to a Colonel Orr of Ohio, U.S.A. who had intended to use the residence as a summer home. James Robison was asked to take care of the house in Colonel Orr 's absence, but the latter never did return to the Island. After 20 years of searching for family belonging to Colonel Orr , a relative was finally located, and James Robison was given permission to sell the property. Joseph Robison married Alice Mae Misener of Stanhope on April 16,1916. He bought eight acres of land in Stanhope by Parson's Creek at this time from Louis Marshall ; this land was formerly part of the Carr property. He also bought a house from Malcolm MacLeod , on the other side of the road, where his son Mervyn's home now stands. The house was moved across the road and Joe and Alice lived there for 63 years. Joe was a fisherman for 66 years, starting when he was 15; he worked at Dalvay when it was being built. Alice (1891 -1978) was the daughter of John Solomon and Mary Jane Misener ; she was an excellent homemaker and all were welcome in her home. She was a charter member of the Stanhope W.I ., very talented at handicrafts; she won many prizes at the Provincial Exhibition. She was active in her church and is buried at St. Eugene's, , where Joe is also buried; he died on October 8,1981. Children of Joseph and Alice (Misener) Robison 1. Eileen, b.
