4. Neil, b. 1789, d. 15 July, 1882 aet. 93 in Stanhope, m. to Sarah Cameron (b. 1796 in Scotland, d. 21 Sept, 1866 in Stanhope). Sarah was a passenger on the brig Rambler arriving 1806, the dau. of Alexander and Catherine Cameron. The home place on the Bayshore Road went to Neil; he was a fence viewer in 1818. 11 c., see below.

5. James, b. 1791, d. 20 Mar., 1869 at Brackley Point, m. 18 Jan., 1821 to Mary MacCallum (b. 12 June, 1799, d. 10 Oct., 1853 aet. 54 at Brackley Point), dau. of Duncan and Janet (Gregor) MacCallum. James was a fence viewer in 1831; lived at Brackley Point. 11 c., Janet, the oldest, m. Angus Darrach and lived in Stanhope, see Darrach history. The others were: Isabella, Margaret, Maria, Duncan, Catherine, James, Neil, Edward, Archibald; one son d. aet. 21 days.

6. Duncan, b. 1800, d. 18 June, 1866 at Brackley Point, In. 16 July, 1833 to Elizabeth Gregor (b. 1802, d. 23 Apr. 1859 aet. 57), younger dau. of James and Isabella (Howatt) Gregor. 4 c., Matilda, Eliza, Isabella and Lydia. Duncan m. 2. to Mrs. Martha Hodgson, a widow with a son, Joseph William, and a daughter, Jane Rebecca Currie.

7. Malcolm, b. 1802, d. 1852, m. 10 Oct., 1831 to Jane Auld (b. 1804, d. 1892), dau. of John and Margaret (Millar) Auld. 8 c., see below.

Malcolm left Covehead in November, 1851, for California. In December, 1851 he wrote to his wife, in care of James Peake, Merchant, Charlottetown, from New York. He stated that he was in good health and spirits. He had taken passage to Graystown in a good sail vessel for $25 as ...I could not get my passage there in a steamer for less than $60.
