taught all grades from Primary to and including Grade XII. She retired, after her teaching career, to St. Joseph’s Residence, Seattle, Washington, where she suddenly passed away on May 17, 1969 in the eightieth year of her age and in the fifty-ninth of her religious life.

Margaret MacDonald, daughter of William MacDonald and Ada Gaul, was born at Vernon on November 21, 1906. She made her Novitiate

at Baltimore, Maryland in 1924. Presently she is teaching at the School of the Sisters of Notre-Dame, Jeffery, New Hampshire.

SISTERS OF MERCY

Ellen Rooney, daughter of Philip Rooney and Ellen McKenna, was born at Cherry Valley on August 1, 1905. Presently she is residing at St. Bernard’s Convent, Saranac Lake, New York.

Rosella Magennis, daughter of Terrence Magennis and Bridget Laf- ferty, was born on August 4, 1908, and entered the Convent of Sisters of Mercy in 1930, and is now in St. John’s Convent, Plattsburg, New York.

SISTERS OF THE PRECIOUS BLOOD

Eileen Mary Walsh, daughter of Reginald Walsh and Rita Corcoran of Elliotvale, entered the Order of the Adorers of the Precious Blood at Mount St. Michael’s Monastery, London, Ontario, on September 8, 1960. Sister Eileen Mary is presently serving as Mother Superior of the Precious Blood Monastery in North Bay, Ontario.
