continued on the farm. Bernard settled in Gaspereaux on a farm next to his father. His daughter, Ida, now resides there.
They also had two daughters. Minnie married Wm. D. Wight of Panmure Island. Margaret married John Cairns of Greenfield, P.E.I. All of the family are now deceased.
Soon after, Lawrence, brother of Hubert, moved to a farm on Panmure Island. He married Martha Wight. They had three boys. Oscar married Genevieve McGee of St. Mary’s Road. Cornelius and Frances remained single. Bertha died young. All members of this family have passed away.

Catholics on Panmure Island
The Catholics 0n Panmure Island were all the MacDonalds and
Campbells and still are. Some have now intermarried with Protes- tants, an unheard of occasion at the time Andrew Campbell married Olive MacGillivray, both Catholics.
