MacGillivray, Bernard

Worked at Panmure Island park in the summer. He got 30 flat tires from the shells which were left from the gulls dropping the clams to open them. Much better than the rocks which they had used before the road was

paved. His brother is Emmett MacGillivray and his sister was Olive MacGil-

livray, who married Andrew Campbell. Lived on Panmure Island with brother Emmett, until he moved to Montague.

Moore, Lemuel

Lem Moore did not like getting flat tires on his car from clam shells. He asked government to make paintings of gulls on the road, where the gulls had dropped the clams to get them open, so they could better eat the meat. The gulls soon were not fooled by the paintings of themselves and continued to drop the clams.
