The Secretary for the “Diamond" anniversary gathering, Harold Simpson, of North Rustico, is hosting a gathering for the twenty men still living . . . in 1915, he states that 220 men, most of them Islanders, enlisted in the “war to end all wars”. Sixty years later, those who remain still hope for a world of peace and understanding.
