9. ROBERT II (1831 - July 25, 1906) m. Aug. 6, 1867 to Anne Mcintosh (1840 - Mar. 22, 1908). Robert received the other half of his father's division of land. This is also dated Sept. 2, 1867. They had eleven children. (see Robert Fyfe ) 10. JOHN (Oct. 31, 1835 - Dec. 7, 1881) m. Dec. 2, 1856 to Mary Ann Smith (Aug. 9, 1832 - Feb. 14, 1912). John and Mary had twelve children. James, William Jr ., and John Fyfe married three sisters, daughters of John and Margaret Whitehead Smith, of Graham's Road. The Smith family had come from the Miramichi area after a terrible fire in the region in 1825. {see Road} 11. Margaret II (1838/39-Aug. 15, 1871) m. Angus MacEachern from the Eastern part of the Island. Angus was a ship's carpenter and he and Margaret II had three children. None of their children remained on the Island. WILLIAM II (1830? - 1884) eighth child of William and Jean Arthur Fyfe [of the Village West] m. 1. Jan. 6, 1859 CHRISTIANNA M. SMITH (1837 -1873) daughter of John and Margaret (Whitehead) Smith of Graham's Road. After his death the William Fyfe I property of 150 acres was divided between his sons, William II and Robert. This was west of the bridge. This transfer of land is dated Sept. 2, 1867. Included in William II 's part was the Fyfe Cemetery . William's wife, Christy, died at an early age leaving two young children - Emeretta and William Oliver 1. EMERETTA [ EMMA ]GIBSON (1859 - 1910) m. Mar. 15, 1881, in Stanley Bridge JAMES S. COLES Sr. - lived in Stanley Bridge (see Cole(s)} 2. William Oliver III (1861 - 1949) m. 1. Elizabeth Davy m. 2. Florence Davy The William O. Fyfe III family moved to Charlottetown . William was known to have worked as a painter for eighteen years with Mark Butcher , the furniture maker. About 1899 he joined the Railway Co. WILLIAM II m. 2. 1874 - Dorothy Eliza Davy of In 1889, William's widow, Eliza, sold the farm property to Dr. Roderick McNeill . This meant that this original farmland passed out of the Fyfe name for at least seventy years. In 1960, Gordon and Marian Fyfe purchased this original property which was then owned by Frank Bell . William II and Eliza had one daughter Dorothy. 3. Dorothy Eliza Jane (Aug. 9, 1877 - Sept. 26, 1950) m. Sept. 30, 1898 John C. Sims (1873 - 1945) - formerly from French River . They lived in Charlottetown , where 'Jack' worked for the Davis & Fraser meat-packing plant. He later formed his own business, named the Sims Packing Co. They had two children. 275
