It is not known how many of the Wedlock family came from England , however, two sisters of John are known to have resided in the area. (1.) Harriet Wedlock (1852-1949) m. Richard Taylor of North Granville { Cemetery Records} (2.) Hannah Wedlock (May 22, 1865 - July 18, 1919) m. James Warren and lived in Stanley Bridge . {see Warren! Feb. Road. John and Mary Wedlock had a family of seven children: 1. Olivia Ann b. June 1867 2. Daniel A. b. Sept. 28, 1871 m. Sept. 25, 1905 Myra MacLeod of French River . Dan was a veteran of WWI. After the War ended he and his family moved to Charlottetown where he joined his brother Stanley in the automobile business. Dan is said to have been "the first person to drive a car from Charlottetown to Cavendish". 3. John (Feb. 10, 1873 - Jan. 10, 1885) was drowned while attempting to cross the Stanley River . 4. STANLEY b. Feb. 12, 1876 {see Stanley Wedlock } 5. PHILIP EVERETT ( May 10, 1879-Dec. 4, 1941) m. Janie McKendrick , (July 11, 1881-Jan22, 1958) daughter of James C. and Clara A. MacKendrick of Tyne Valley . The Wedlock Bros , business ended before WWI. Everett and his family moved from Stanley Bridge to Hunter River in 1912. The place was purĀ¬ chased by Alfred E. Fyfe .
