In the community “Stan” was noted for his excellent horses. He liked nothing better than a chal— lenge to a race, and was a regular participant in the winter ice races on the Stanley River.
Stanley and Bessie Wedlock had two children

After the Bulman family moved from the Wedlock home to the village (the 1930’s) the house was occupied by Frank and Cerena Dunning and family. They had moved to Stanley Bridge from Long River. Frank was the mechanic at the DJ. MacLeod garage which was located on the eastern side of the river. Some of the children attended school in the village. One son, Otto, joined the armed forces and was killed in the Second World War.
Frank was twice married. m. 1. Cerena Dunning. They had the following family.
1. Francis In. June Burt and lived in Kensington
2. Ernest served in World War II
3. Otto served in World War II and was killed in action
4. Daniel m. Violet Cameron and lived in Kensington
5. Grace m. MacLeod. They lived in Charlottetown 6. Velda
7. Joseph lives in Charlottetown
8. James
9. “Betty” m. Walsh and lives in Charlottetown
