HISCOTT
JAMES (Mar. 30, 1891 - Feb. 21, 1975) son of Thomas Sr. and Frances Jane Hiscott m. to LEONORA BELLE MacARTHUR (Sept. 29, 1892 - May 15, 1967) daughter of Malcolm and Isabel MacArthur of Fortune Cove area.
"Jim" and Leonora Hiscott farmed on the Theodore Pickering property which bordered on Anderson's Creek. Jim's brother Albert owned the farm across the road. Thomas Sr. and his two sons also had a sawmill business on the river. Jim and Leonora‘s home was destroyed in a fire. At this time the family moved to the village and lived for a while in the Honeywell Bulman house. Later they built a house next to the United Church. This home is now owned by George and Jean Harding. Leonora Hiscott was Post Mistress for a number of years after the family moved to the village.

HARDING
After her father, Jim Hiscott died, Hilda Hiscott Fyfe sold the house to George and Jean Harding of Kensington. They moved into the home on July 1, 1975.
George is a veteran of World War 1. During World War 11 Jean worked in a factory in Montreal, PQ.
When George and Jean returned to the Island, George worked at the Summerside Airport as a civilian. He joined the Airport staff in 1946 and retired in 1970.
Jean operated a hairdressing shop in Kensington. Since 1982 Jean has enjoyed working during the summer months at the Marineland Aquarium.
George b. Feb. 14, 1917 the son of William and Grace Brander Harding of French River. In. Sept. 1948 - Jean Harding b. Nov, 29, 1924 daughter of Lester and Lucy Parsons Chappell of Granville. They have a family of three children. 1. Lena m b. Oct. 30, 1949. Joan is a bank manager in North Vancouver, BC 2. Ala_n George b. Sept. 17, 1951. Alan is manager of the Starter Hut in Kensington 3. Nancy Lee b. Jan 7, 1953 m. Louis Foster Kensington. They have one daughter, Andrea.
