Wallace’s farm land was located on either side of the Glynde Road, facing onto Route 254. In the 1880 Atlas, this is listed as properties of George Bell and John Sutherland. Wallace and Lilla
are buried in Wheatley River Cemetery. After selling their land in Stanley, they settled in West Royalty, before moving to reside with their daughter Hattie. “Wal” who was a great fiddle play- er, taught his two daughters to play, one of them being a left—handed fiddler.
