(2.) E James (Feb. 4, 1886 - May 8, 1965) m. in 1915 to Mary MacAulay (1892- 1979) from Tracadie Cross. Leo and Mary lived at the junction of Route 224 and Simpson Mill Road. Gus and Elmer Gallant of St. Mary’s spent their adult years with them. Elmer Gallant In. Faustina Doyle, daughter of John and Mabel Monaghan Doyle in 1958.

(3.) Clara (Jan. 8, 1888 - Mar. 19, 1947) m. Harry Hughes. They farmed in Norboro, P.E.I. They had four children: 1. George 2. Dr. Harold, MD. 3. Joseph Ian ((1) 4. Francis (d)

(4.) Laura Gertrude (July 29, 1890 Aug. 22, 1930) m. Austin Hogan. They farmed the Hogan property on the east side of the Hope River.

(5.) Agnes (Aug. 27, 1892 Oct. 26, 1967) m. Alexis Murphy. They lived and farmed in St. Ann’s. They had four children: Gregory, Marion, Leo and Joseph(d).

(6.) Walter Linus (Oct. 11, 1894 - Dec. 18, 1977)

(8.) Marion (Mar. 21, 1900 Nov. 21, 1983) m. Patrick MacKenna in 1922. They farmed in St. Patrick’s and later moved to Charlottetown. They had three children: Joseph, Reid and Eileen ((1).

(9.) Kathleen May b. May 11, 1905. She entered the Congregation of Notre Dame in Montreal in 1924. {See Churches}

,IAMES BRENDAN, (Jan. 12, 1897 March 13, 1986) son of James Sr. and Mary Murphy Reid, m. Sept. 12, 1923 to ANNIE RETA CULLEN, (May 15, 1901 -April 25, 1987) daughter of John and Mary Landrigan Cullen. James was born in Long River and moved to BayView in 1902. James and Rita farmed the James Reid Sr. property where he was successful at mixed farming, fox ranching and carpentry. He took special pride in his line of blood horses and raced on Stanley and on Hope River. Reta was a teacher and homemaker. James and Reta spent over 60 years of married life on this property. James and Reta had thirteen children.
