Where is the thatch-roofed village, the home of Acadian farmers,— Men whose lives glided on like rivers that Water the woodlands, Darkened by shadows of earth, but reflecting an image of heaven ? * * * * Naught but tradition remains of the beautiful village of . ¥HE above extracts from Longfellow's world-famous poem, most aptly describe the spot on which this hotel is placed, being the sile of one of the earliest Acadian Settlements on the North Shore of Prince Edward Island . The Hotel with its background of forest, is located on a point of land one side of which is bounded by the waters of the Gulf; the other by those of a beautiful landlocked bay; thus affording facilities for both surf and still-water bathing, boating and fishing. The waters teeming with Mackerel, Cod, Haddock, Halibut, Salmon, Herring, Trout, Silver Perch, Smelts, Flounders, Lobsters and other fish ; and the surrounding beaches, meadows and woods, abounding with game, wild flowers and fruits. The House has wide airy halls, passages and corridors ; pleasant rooms whose windows command fine views of Ocean and Bay. This being its first season the furnish¬ ings are all fresh and new.
