D. On Jan, 2, 1976, William G. Doyle, Charlottetown, age 79. He was a native of Tignish and sewed with the C.N.R., retiring in 1964. He was a member of the 8th Siege Battery in World War 1. He leaves to mourn his wife, the former Blanche Oliver; sons James, Vancouver; Glen in Toronto; Gerald and Thane, in Charlottetown, and a daughter, Aletha, Mrs. Mike Hennessey, Charlottetown. D. On May 5, 1976, Capt. John Jerroir of Georgetown, in his 105 year. He was born in Arichat, NS. and came to Georgetown with his family as a boy. He sailed his own vessels for many years carrying loads of potatoes and coal between P.E.I., and NS. and also freight for wholesalers He was twice married and had six daughters, the following surviving him: Mary (Mrs. Boudreault); Georgetown; Margaret (Mrs. Earle) of New Glasgow, N.S.; Lucy Mae(Mrs. Gratto) of Two, N.S.; also 35 grandchildren and forty great grandchildren. Funeral service from St. James Church, Georgetown. Interment

He was a naval navigator. He leaves to mourn his wife, the former Mary McNally, of Tracadie Cross, P.E.l.; three sons; Bruce John; and twins Brad and Chad; also brothers: Frederick, of Cornwallis, N.S. and Donnie of Charlottetown. She was born in Sturgeon, P.E.l., on July 27, 1923, the daughter of Blanche (Collings) and the late Richard Wesmway. Her husband, John, predeceased her. Left to moum are sons: Alden, Sherwood, P.E.I.; Jack, Melbourne, Australia; Donald, Eastern Passage, N.S.; and a daughter, Brenda (Mrs. Brendan Galway), Georgetown; also six grandchildren, her mother and seven brothers. D. At Charlottetown Hospital, July 23, 1976, Oliver A. Ross. He was born Mar. 8, 1917 to the late Peter and Nettie (Johnstone) Ross, Georgetown, P.E.I., employee of Island Telephone. He served overseas with the Royal Canadian Engineers in World War 11, and was wounded in France. He sang on occasion with Raymond Sellick and his Merry Islanders. He leaves to mourn his wife, the former Mildred MacIssac, of Brae, RE. I. and three sisters; Myrtle Babineau, Ella (Mrs. David Lavers; and Eleanor (Mrs. James Llewellyn); a brother Sheldon predeceased him.
