D. At the Charlottetown Hospital, June 4, 1980, Samuel Harrington (“Harry”) Yorston, Georgetown. He was born May 3, 1904, the only son of the late George and Mary (Crosman) Yorston. In the Second World War he served in the Army Service Corps reaching the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. After the war he opened a grocery business in Georgetown, retiring in 1974. Harry was a locally well-known singer and pianist and served as elder and organist in St. David‘s Church for many years. He was also a long-term treasurer of the Georgetown Legion Branch. He is survived by an only sister, Laura (Mrs. Roland Marsh), formerly the wife of Bartlett Mair and by nephews and a niece. (From Guardian, June 5 & June 24,

Besides her husband, she is survived by six children: Glen, Daryl, Dorothy Ann, John, and Dana, and one grandchild, Andrew; also by a sister Gladys Mrs. Harold MacLean), Sherwood, P.E.I.. D. At the Charlottetown Hospital, Feb. 2, 1981, Harold “Hal” William Arthur, age 77. He was born 2 June, 1903, the son of Robert Samuel & Annie (MacGillivray) Arthur. He was educated in Summerside and in Boston, where he lived for much of his life. Left to mourn are his wife Agnes [Macdonald], daughters: Betty (Mrs. Joseph Febrile), Montreal, and Judy (Mrs. William Fisher), Charlottetown and sons: Robert, Georgetown, and William, Southport; 23 grandchildren and one great grandchild, and three sisters in Boston.
