Saturday was the main day to go to the parlor to get ice cream Minnie was busy with her business, as it was the only ice ream parlor around at that time. The ice cream was served in glass dishes, similar to today’s parfait glasses. There were longer glass dishes for the ice cream served with bananas, similar to today’s banana split. It cost approximately 10 to 15 cents for a dish. (43)
