Foreword
The Most Reverend Arthur G. Peters
An up-to-date church history which describes the evolution of the churches in the Parish of New London and the Parish of Springfield is an appropriate project to herald the third millennium of Christianity. It is especially appropriate to have this updating incorporate the early church histories written by the Rev’d Dr. Thomas Millman and the Haslam family members who served on the Springfield History Committee. I wish the Church History Committee well with this project, which is to include the history book, the
complementary website and the networking components of “Linking Churches Here and There."
The witness ofthe Anglican Church in the Kensington area is a fitting tribute to the pioneers who planted the Church here more than a century and a half ago. I pray the present members of our Anglican Church will respond to the challenges and opportunities of these times with faithfulness equal to that demonstrated by their forebears.
Sincere best wishe and every blessing. "L Q%/%/ //%/Vn
