Margretta Irene McBeath (1880) was the third child and second daughter born to Ann and Alexander McBeath. Irene’s early schooling was at Marshfield. She was an excellent student and was able to pursue her education at Prince of Wales College at Charlottetown where she obtained her teacher’s certificate. Soon after completing her studies there, she travelled with a friend to western Canada. The young ladies stopped at Regina, Saskatchewan, and here Irene procured her teaching certificate for that Province. At Estevan, Saskatchewan she secured a position as teacher of Mathematics and Latin at the local High School.

Anne Blanche McBeath (1882-1954) and Blair were the twin children of Alexander and Ann McBeath. Blanche attended school at Marshfield and also studied voice and piano. formerly owned by Senator Donald Ferguson who was married to Eliza Jane McBeath, a granddaughter of Donald McBeath. After her husband died Blanche moved back to Rosevale Farm where she lived with her brother Alexander and his wife Jean. Memorial Stone in Marshfield Community Cemetery.

Donald Blair McBeath (1882-1907 unmarried) and Blanche were the twin children of Alexander and Ann McBeath. Blair received his early education at Marshfield School after which he attended Prince of Wales College in Charlottetown. Following graduation he entered McGill University in Montreal and obtained a Degree in Engineering. At the time of his death, at age twenty-five years he was working with a mining company on a project in Northern Quebec. Memorial stone in Marshfield Community Cemetery.

Royal Stewart McBeath (1888-1951) was the youngest of six children born to Alexander and Ann McBeath. He was educated at Marshfield School and then at Prince of Wales College in Charlottetown. Following graduation from Prince of Wales he entered McGill University in Montreal from where he graduated with a degree in engineering.

In 1915 he went overseas with the Canadian National troops and served with them for the duration of the war. Following the war he was a Resident Engineer with the Montreal tramways. He later worked in Northern Ontario and in Quebec on the construction of pulp and paper mills. In t. 1936 he was employed by ’ the Provincial Government of Prince Edward Island as an Engineer and in 1942 he was appointed Chief Engineer for the Island.

Royal was an outstanding athlete. He played on the hockey and football teams for both Prince of Wales College and McGill University and was prominent in wrestling
