He was in all respects an excellent citizen and his loss will not only be felt in city and country, but more especially in the home, now bereaved at the joyous Christmas season, and where the family mourns the loss of a loving and devoted husband and father.
He is survived by his widow, nee Miss Alberta Lillian Simmonds, daughter of the late John Simmonds, of Marshfield, and a sister of JP Simmonds of this city: also by one son, William Frank Miller in Charlottetown and two daughters. Jean, wife of Mr. A.W. Trueman of Sackville, member of the stafi of Mount Allison University and Ruth, wife of Mr. H.D. Henderson, also of Sackville and bursar of the same institution.
He also leaves one sister, Mrs. John MacFarlane, Marshfield, and one brother James of Calgary.
He will be laid to rest this afternoon in Sherwood Cemetery the funeral to be conducted by Rev. Dr. Legate, pastor of St. James Presbyterian

Cecil Miller among three to be honored during dinner
Cecil Miller will be one of three former MLAs honored during a benefit dinner hosted by the Third Queens Liberal Association Wednesday April 22, at the CP Prince Edward Hotel in Charlottetown.
Others to be honored at the dinner include Levi McNally and Eugene Cullen.
Following is a profile of Mr. Miller.
Mr. Miller, former Liberal MLA (1966-78), cabinet minister (1966-70), and speaker of the house (1970-78), was born in Marshfield, Mass. in 1896. His family moved to Prince Edward Island in 1900, where Mr. Miller was raised and educated in Charlottetown.
In 1921, Mr. Miller settled in F renchfort and one year later married Revola Stewart. Together
