removed the siding where the addition would join the main church. Allison Johnson received a phone call on Christmas afternoon that the wind was tearing additional siding from the wall. The only other trustee he could locate on Christmas Day was Douglas Campbell. The two men had to interrupt their Christmas celebrations and fight the wind and cold to nail the siding back in place to prevent further damage. Frozen to the bone, the two men remember the day well. The extension, which is wheelchair accessible, was finished in February of 1997.
