My remembrances of Lot 16 are varied and many but some of them certainly could not be contained in the kind of thing you are planning. I remember some very per- sonal and deeply private circumstances with indi- viduals who struggled with faith issues, life and death experiences, and a variety of counseling sit- uations. I was more than a little surprised when I went to stand up and found myself feeling a bit dizzy. I asked my host what he had in the glass and he promptly informed me that it was rhubarb wine. He neglected to say that it was rhubarb wine with quite a kick! The visit lasted quite a while longer but there was no more consuming of the lovely flavoured pink elixir on that hot summer day.

On another occasion, I recall preaching a sermon on towers that stand between God and us. At the time Towers
