not unlock the handcuffs once the play had ended. Money raised by the Young People 's Union was often used for the benefit of the entire congregation. The Union raised enough money in one play season to paint the church. A thank you note to the Young Peoples Union, found in an old record book, illustrates some of the work the group performed. Being remembered on Christmas Day by the youth of the church was very meaningful for this lady. Dec 27/35 R.R . 1, P. E. I. Having ceased to function approximately 1936, it was re-organized in 1948. The first meeting in September was at the home of Mrs. Clarence (Doris) Carr. Meetings were held twice a month either at the Central School or at the homes of the members of the band. Leaders were Jean Miller and Violet MacGregor . Being a program for elementary school children, the memĀ¬ bers used the Mission Band Paper - World Friends curricuĀ¬ lum.
