Memories some good and some not so good! One Sunday my sister Arlene, Betty Coughlin, and I were asked to sing a special number one that was not in the hymn book. I had the words written on a sheet of paper and guess what? I forgot to take those words with me. Here we were with a hymn book in front of us and no words. I guess we knew the words of the first verse and that was it! Believe me I was not the

most popular kid on the block that day. I/Ve were rather embarrassed to say the least.

Another embarrassing experience I had was when I was organist at a wedding at that! The guests were seated and I had been playing. just before the bride was to come in I could not find the Bridal March. I didn’t know it of by heart so what was I going to do?

I did what I had to do go home after it.And there was no back door

to escape either! Lucky for me we lived next door. I’m not sure whether the bride ever knew what happened, but I surely never forgot.
