The following newspaper report was written June 29, 1932:

Mr. Bruce Brennan of Elmsdale is in Prince County Hospital suffering from hip injuries and shock as a result of an accident at Elmsdale on Sunday when the wagon in which he was driving was struck by an automobile. He was accompanied at the time by Mr. and Mrs. Parmenus J. MacArthur of Elmsdale.

The party were on their way to church and had just turned the corner when struck by a car. Mr. Brennan was thrown quite a distance. He is 70 years old and his condition is serious. Mr. and Mrs.

MacArthur were both bruised and are suffering from shock.

This was possibly one of the first accidents involving an automobile to take place in the community of Elmsdale. Another accident is reported in the Summerside Jour-
