THEA.L. RENNIE EGG WAGON
Egg wagons were common in western Prince Edward Island, providing a unique and personal service to customers in the rural communities. Egg wagons were run by Arthur Rennie of Elmsdale, his brother Fred Rennie of Alma and A. J. Pratt of
Bloomfield Station.
From a conversation with Keith Pratt he confirmed that all three egg wagons were of the same construction. The following information was taken frOm a school project written by Jamie Ellis and he got first-hand information from his grandmother Blanche Crockett, the daughter of Fred Rennie, who drove the Egg -Wagon. Blanche related to Jamie that the wagon had a flat wagon base with a large box, medium box, and a .1 small box. The large box at the back of the wagon was packed with chewing to- 3 bacco, smoking tobacco, cotton, flannelette, sugar, tea and other groceries. The back
