1961-1966 Brown MacLeod J ardine was born in Trenton, Pictou County, NS on December 10, 1919, son of the late William and Catherine Jardine. After graduating from Trenton High School he was employed by the Trenton Steel Works, Morton’s PR Grocery, and the Greendale Company Limited. Mr. J ardine was a member of the Trenton United Church and greatly involved with church work, particularly youth programs, the Masons and Oddfellows. In October 1961 he accepted a call as lay supply min- ister to the Montrose Pastoral Charge and lived in the manse in Elmsdale, PEI. Since 1966 he had been employed by the Hawker Siddeley Trenton Works, but Mr. Jardine stayed active as lay supply minister in Pictou County in Bridgeville, Sunnybrae United, Thorburn, Sutherlands- River Presbyterian, and Saltsprings United.
