went bowling. They had a’ money tree for the African Drought Relief. Some years

there were no reports. The 1986 activities included bowling; tobogganing; a visit to Iron Haven Gym; rental of Jvaues Cartier Arena for an hour of skating with O’Leary CGIT and Anglican Church girls group; and avisit to the Elite Seed Farm. Discus— Sions were held on sexual assault, and civil rights in South Africa. They also studied CGIT history and had a special guest, Blanche Crockett, who Was one of the first

CGIT girls in this area. They donated a book to the Alberton Elementary School and made valentines for all residents of Maplewood Manor. In 1987 they watched VCR tapfits on “Marriage” and “Anne of Green Gables.” They did a skit on “The Lord’s

Prayer” at all three regular church services. They saw a film on the disabled, Visited Western Hospital for a talk with Sister Rita on dieting, went bowling and organized the Easter sunrise breakfast. In the fall they had a fashion show at Dandy Duds with all members being models. In N oVember Rev. John Ferguson explained the purpose 0f the different colours of the pulpit scarves. They gave a donation to the IWK

HOSpital and had a Christmas party. The Mission Study in 1988 was on the culture
