As far as is known the first marriage recorded was between Mary Angeline Clements and Peter Doiron. She recalled that the inside of the church was not finished at that time. On July 8, 1931~ a Grand Tea Party was held at Bloomfield Station to raise

funds for the Little Church in Brockton. It was a gala affair. Several times this com- munity has held teas to raise money for the Little Church.

The first group of children received their first communion at. the chapel on August 11, 1933. They were Freda Kelly, Jean Donahue, Alice Blanchard, Lloyd Trainor, Stephen O’Halloran, Ernest Brown, William Gallant, Raymond Kelly, Helen Perry,

Gerard McCarthy, Everett Gallant, Lawrence Gallant, Benny Perry and Marion Grif- fin.

In 1946 under the pastorate of Father Eric Robin a beautiful sanctuary was com- pleted in the church.

In 1972 a fire of unknown origin destroyed the interior of St. Bernadette’s Church. Meetings were held to decide what action to take. Would they go back to St. Mark’s 01‘ Would they refinish the inside of their church? It was unanimous that they wanted
