few years when her family moved to the Dock Road to help her Uncle Alfred farm the extra land he purchased. They lived in the George Matthews place, known as the old Rob Matthews place, up the Dock Road. Ken rented the house to Herb and family. Then the family moved back to their farm in Wellington. Rita attended school there before going to Kinkora High School in 1942. Rita entered the Congregation of St. Joseph in St. Paul, Minnesota on September 28, 1947 and became known as Sr.‘Agnes Mary. She taught continuing education, social services, computer science, and English as a second language to immigrants in the USA, a program known as “Learning in Style”. Rita visited her family in Ontario, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward
Island during the summer 2005.
Theresa Mary O’Brien, born September 21, 1927 in Richmond, PEI, the daughter of Herbert and Mary (Gavin) O’Brien came with her family to the Dock Road when her father was helping his brother farm extra fannland he acquired. The family rented the Ken Matthews place on the Dock Road. Theresa attended O’Brien Road School
