and worked for five years in the American and Canadian West. When he finally reached Winnipeg, Manitoba he found employment at a hotel where he worked for one and one half years.

Probably it was this experience that prompted him along with his wife Flora, when

they moved to Elmsdale, to own and operate Cameron’s Inn and Livery Stable lo— cated on the Dock Road. '/

This business was located on the property where Joseph and Sandra O’Meara pres- ently live. _ '

The livery stable provided horses for travelers to use in the days when wagons and sleighs were the only means of transportation.
