On June 18, 1942 the Summerside Journal reported: “A variety program presented by the junior pupils of the school on Friday and Saturday evening in Mr. Everett Williams garage netted a neat little sum in aid of the Red Cross.”
Betty (Dunn) McDOnald said the Junior Red Cross was still in existence in the early 19608 when she was go-
ing to school. She said they had lifesaver games, grab
