Adams’ Corner Grocery - In 1964 sisters Blanche Hardy and Gail Adams went into business renting their father Jack Adams’s “little corner store.” In 1966 they bought the store from Jack. Since Gail had married a MacDonald the business name was changed to Hardy and MacDonald. Two years later Blanche sold her share to ' her sisters Roberta Wallace and Ruby Fraser. This partnership continued until Ruby bought out Roberta’s share and she and Gail operated the business under the name Fraser and MacDonald. After buying Rennie and Ogden in 1969, Gail and Ruby ran the “little store” for a short time, mostly evenings after the other store closed. Later Jewel Finley carried on a small furniture business out of the “little store”. When Adams’ Corner Grocery bought Adams’ Warehouse, Jewel closed her furniture store a11d became manager of Adams’ Warehouse. A few years later when the land was
