Gerald Adams - In spring 1971
Gerald Adams had Harvey Butler build a grocery store for him on the Western Road which he ran until Christmas
1971. Employees were Junior Adams and Shirley MacKay. In 1972 Gerald sold the building to Leonard and Sheila Gallant and they turned it into the home where they
presently live.

McKenna’s Furniture - In 1988 McKenna’s Furniture Store opened in the former Adams’ Warehouse, which was purchased by owners Reg and Vivian McKenna. The McKenna’s moved from their store in Alberton to Elmsdale and they com- pletely renovated the interior of the 4,000 square foot warehouse and added an addi-
tion of 3,300 square feet at the rear of the building. Construction was by (H. Adams of Elmsdale and it was all finished by April. Custom— ers Were then able to View a wide selection of merchandise all on one floor. They sold furniture, appli- ances and flooring. Employees at the store were Troy Campbell, Norma Blanchard, Rodney Savidant, Kevin Dunville and
