Murray's Video Journal- Pioneer , March 26,1987 Following Hillard's death, Bell's Nursery became an outlet for Milligan's Garden Centre of Miscouche. During 1998 and 1999 Milligan's brought in the same nursery stock and perennials, which Pearl raised in her many flowerbeds. Although the nurs¬ ery has closed, Pearl continues to raise and sell perennials to friends and neighbours. In 2003 and 2004 the Prince Edward Island Rural Beautification Society recognized Pearl's work on her property. At the 2003 awards banquet she received 1st prize in for her flower garden and in 2004 she was awarded 1st prize for her contribution to enhancement of beautification on PEI , for her pines and ponds, a senior's award for beautification, and 2nd prize for rural mailbox and entrance en¬ hancement for . These prizes and awards were well deserved by this avid and knowledgeable gardener. TAKE-OUT CANTEENS Polar King / Go- Carts - In 1962 Robert and Georgie Campbell had a canteen built by John Arthur on their property at what was known as Bob Campbell's Corner in Elmsdale . The canteen was known as the Polar King and was situated on land be¬ tween the properties now owned by Archie Rayner and Craig Wallace.
