Besides flooring they sold wallpaper, borders, paint, floor installation and floor care products, and numerous household accessories. When Alton retired, the business was taken over by Cyril, who operated it until 2001.

ISLAND CONCEPTS LTD. Island Concepts Ltd. was formed as a 50-50 partnership between Karen and Thane O’Brien in May 1997. The company manufactured fiberglass fish tanks, dories, fiberglass steps, snowmobile sleighs as well as repairing and retrofitting fiberglass boats. At the time there was no other company in Prince Edward Island specializing
