GOIN' TO THE CORNER Alberton Museum Coll. Hon. Robert Campbell , MLA Hector MacLeod Coll. Hon. Hector MacLeod , MLA twenty-nine years, the president of the Board of the Alberton Museum, the vice- president of the Children 's Association of the Mentally Handicapped, and a member of the West Prince Board of Trade. For a number of years Robert was a trustee of Regional High School and Elmsdale School. Robert was affectionately known as the "Great " as he worked tirelessly for the people of First Prince . In 1991 Robert was named Alberton 's Citizen of the Year. Robert, at the time of his death on May 31, 1992, was still a member of the legislature and held the record for consecutive years of service and was the second longest serving member of the legislature. Hector Lawrence MacLeod - Hector Lawrence MacLeod was born June 30,1944 in Ingonish, Nova Scotia , son of Walter A. and Julia Margaret (Hardy) MacLeod.
