time Jim began to kiln dry his lumber, then take orders for making custom mould- ings, cupboards and furniture. Jim made anything out of wood that anyone requested, including oyster handles. He built his own wooden boat, then fibreglassed it. In 1998 he incorporated his business as McCarthy’s Woodworking Inc. By November 2005 Jim again expanded his business, to include the making of trusses and rafters, in the building known as the Westland Mall in Bloomfield.
