Today bridge is played instead of whist. It has been played weekly year-round at the Elmsdale Community Centre beginning on November 9, 1976.

In the 19403 Hilda Gillis brought the National Film Board documentaries to the Elmsdale Hall. This brought large crowds and was very entertaining.

From the’Islan'd Farmer: “Reserve Wednesday, July 19, 1941 for the Elmsdale tea. . .usual amusements and attractions. Grounds will be lighted at night. If day is
