McKINNON has been awarded a Carnegie Medal in recognition of an outstanding act of heroism: bronze Medal awarded to Ifery A. McKinnon , who saved Florence M. MacKendrick from drowning, Campbellton, P # E.I .t February 5, 1913. Miss MacKendrick , aged fourteen, broke •through' weak ice on a hundred feet from the bank, where the water was six feet deep, 'She tried to get back on the ice* but it broke away.
