Sadiah Zakem and her husband Nemir Tweel
Although he did not seem to want to associate with the Lebanese community, we as cousins had no problem communicating with each other. Unfortunately, we did not get to know our Aunt Saidah until after Nemir died in 1970. She was a very warm, motherly person who had worked very hard bringing up nine children and operating the grocery store. She had a great love of flowers and gardening and I was able to learn a few tricks from her. I only regret not knowing her years before. She died in 1980 of a heart attack.
