Dad's renovated store in St . Paul in 1935. The family lived on the second floor. So my dad had a "close out sale" and we moved to Charlottetown . We now numbered six children. We were all born in Quebec except Yvonne and our ages ranged from 1 to 11 years old. When we first arrived, we stayed with my aunt Mary ( Joe Kays ) my mother's sister. They lived and ran a grocery store on the north side of two houses up from . We opened a store in 1936 on corner of Grafton and , which was really a big front room of the house. In 1948 we built a new living quarters and store across the street and in 1978 sold the business. 4t Our first store 1936, Charlottetown 25
